You are my sunshine :)

The weather is warm in Washington State and it being Mother's Day... I long for my mom and the way she used to sing for me. Like many mothers, I am sure, she would hold me in her lap and sing You are my sunshine" to me as she would string buttercups in my black curls. Is it no wonder yellow is my favorite color? So in honor of my mom, I made these cute signs for my kitchen.
And the best part it only cost $4 because I had the yellow paint on hand.

Is it sad that the Dollar Tree clerks know me by name? Anyway I purchased the frames at the dollar store and slapped on two coats of yellow acrylic paint on the frames.

So the idea was to use my mad computer skills to make cute signs... *cough* my final sign looked like a monkey had stolen my computer and managed to scribble a plea for help....

Needless to say I scoured the internet for a free printable and found exactly what I was looking for at Handmade Mayhem. Their free printable is super cute and you can get it by clicking here.

The yellow didn't look quite right after I printed it out... okay so it ran out of yellow ink part way through... but it was easy to paint over and gave it an interesting effect.
